halfway through the halfway point

work-life

This week we'll be halfway through the halfway point of the year. The end of June will mark the halfway point of 2023, and June 15th is the halfway point for the month.

A lot to think about, isn't it?

The thought that our year is nearly half over sparked a look back at what's been accomplished so far this year. And, if truth be told, it's been a busy one!

For starters, my own world was a little upended when we had to work from home while some office renovations were underway. That took a little getting used to, but in the end it was a good experience. I found that I could still work AND make things happen even when I didn't see my coworkers during those working hours.

But personally, I did decide to make some changes. I started working out a little more - not to the extent that I'd love, but still adding at least one more day of exercise to my week.

I've also started watching foods that I eat a little more closely, and I'm taking some much-needed "me" time. THAT is the most important change I've made: ensuring that I have downtime from email and work calls and all that the office environment throws at me, and taking time to ensure my mental and physical health needs are met.

What have you achieved as you hit the halfway point of the year? Take a step back and think about all you've accomplished. I'll be you'll see you've taken big steps from where you've been.

Your mental health will thank you for that!
