new year resolutions

Golden Rule

Just eight days into 2021 and it's been a little bumpy. With what's been happening in the news and many adjusting once again to a five-day workweek, it can make us feel tired so quickly!

Did anyone make New Year's resolutions? We all tell ourselves at the end of a year that we'll try to do something better: eat better, exercise more, read more, or maybe go back to school. I've tried those things, too. They didn't always work, but I tried, right?

So this year, my goals are just two: get more professional-related education and be kinder to others. I'm limiting myself for a couple of reasons:

  • too many rsolutions are hard to track, and
  • I'll just get sidetracked with more than two resolutions to think about!

As your 2021 gets underway, and if you've thought about ways to make life better for yourself and those you love, consider the Golden Rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you. When it comes to mental health and learning about it, it's not just any stigma you may hold that will benefit. You'll also get educated and perhaps share that information with others.

Easier said than done, perhaps, but if you make one attempt then another then another, pretty soon it will become second nature.

At least, that's what I wish for you in the New Year! Be well!
